Static QR codes

A static QR code directly encodes the destination text, URL, WiFi login, or contact data. It can be permanent because no provider-controlled redirect needs to stay active. The tradeoff is that printed static codes cannot be edited later.

Dynamic QR codes

A dynamic QR code usually points to a short redirect URL. That can enable editing and analytics, but it requires hosting, logs, billing, and provider trust. If the provider, subscription, or redirect infrastructure fails, the printed code can fail too.

Bring your own link

Liqr can encode any URL you control, including your own redirect or short link. Liqr v1 does not provide hosted dynamic redirects because that would require backend infrastructure outside the zero-cost static model.
